John retired from Lakeport PD in 1993. He has served on the Lakeport Fire district board of directors from 1987 to 1997, and was reappointed to the board in 2006. John has been a resident of the district (with a 3 yr hiatus) since 1956. He is married with 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren.
